First Cheeseday of the month

Matching cheese and wine
Perfect Partners - cheese and wine

The first Tuesday of each month is also Pātaka’s First Cheeseday.  We will be showcasing products from our local cheese suppliers matched with Marlborough wines.  Each First Cheeseday will focus on a different cheese range or winery with either a cheesemaker or winemaker here to share the secrets of their craft and demonstrate the perfect pairing of cheese and a complementary wine.

There will be opportunity to relax and enjoy the company of friends, warm yourself on our homemade soup and bread and purchase a glass of wine.

First Cheeseday at Pātaka is too good to miss.

Soft drinks, tea, coffee and hot chocolate also available.

Tickets $25 include 5 cheese and complementary wine  tastings.

Relax in Pātaka’s cosy venue and enjoy the perfect combination of cheese, wine, the company of good friends and some inspiring stories.

Tuesday 17 April

With Strings Attached

Scottish, Irish and American folk music

Join us at Pataka’s relaxed setting for an evening with Bruce and Helen – aka “With Strings Attached”. This duo play an eclectic mix of Irish, Scottish, Appalachian folk, with a bit of bluegrass and a smattering of tunes and songs from across the globe. If they like it they’ll play it (so don’t ask for Molly Mallone, they don’t like it). To commemorate 100 years since the end of World War I and the proximity to Anzac Day they are including a set of songs with a war related theme. Helen insists any song needs great lyrics as well as a good melody line. It’s toe-tapping stuff, feel free to get up and dance. Between them they field two guitars, two banjos, two fiddles, one bodhran and 2 voices.
Enjoy a glass or two of Lake Chalice wine, some delicious homemade treats, great company and great entertainment.

Tickets $10
