A pātaka is a Māori storehouse for food or larder. The structure is usually raised on poles to prevent damp and discourage vermin. The pātaka would be considered tapu or sacred. After all, what could be more important to a group of people than the footstore?
Pātaka is opposite Saint Clair Family Kitchen, right in the heart of the Marlborough vineyards and only ten minutes drive from Blenheim.
