The first Tuesday of each month is also Pātaka’s First Cheeseday. We will be showcasing products from our local cheese suppliers matched with Marlborough wines. Each First Cheeseday will focus on a different cheese range or winery with either a cheesemaker or winemaker here to share the secrets of their craft and demonstrate the perfect pairing of cheese and a complementary wine.
There will be opportunity to relax and enjoy the company of friends, warm yourself on our homemade soup and bread and purchase a glass of wine.
First Cheeseday at Pātaka is too good to miss.
Soft drinks, tea, coffee and hot chocolate also available.
Tickets $25 include 5 cheese and complementary wine tastings.
Telegraph Hill is an award-winning producer of New Zealand olives, extra virgin olive oil and a gourmet product range.
The reason behind being so good is quite simple, they love olives, eating them at every opportunity.
In 2001, Telegraph Hill was the first artisan producer of commercial table olives in New Zealand. It is now the largest producer of New Zealand-grown table olives. From humble beginnings in a shed on the grove, Telegraph Hill now produce 25 tonnes of table olives and extra virgin olive oil annually at their purpose built Olivery in Hastings, Hawkes Bay.
Geoff Crawford, owner and manger of Telegraph Hill will present a range of their award winning products with platter pairings and of course a tasting of Lake Chalice wines. Geoff will explain the olive fermentation process and educate us on the good and the bad in olive oil and how to spot the difference.
Pop in to Pātaka’s cosy environment and enjoy a tasting sensation based around Telegraph Hill’s award winning products and an ‘olive education’.
Tickets ($25) includes range of platter pairings, each matched with a wine tasting.
