The first Tuesday of each month is also Pātaka’s First Cheeseday. We will be showcasing products from our local cheese suppliers matched with Marlborough wines. Each First Cheeseday will focus on a different cheese range or winery with either a cheesemaker or winemaker here to share the secrets of their craft and demonstrate the perfect pairing of cheese and a complementary wine.
There will be opportunity to relax and enjoy the company of friends, warm yourself on our homemade soup and bread and purchase a glass of wine.

Fondue is back! We have finally recovered from the previous fondue evening, which turned out to be an absolute ball. It’s just about the most fun you can have with cheese.
We have sourced and trialled some delicious fondue recipes, using local artisan cheeses and matched each one with a wine from the Lake Chalice Flacon range. Some for the glass some for the fondue recipe.
It’s a great way to enjoy some great tastes and the company of friends new and old. Fondue definitely brings people together and we are amazed by the number of ingenious consequences dreamt up for anyone who dares to lose their bread in the fondue pot.
